FAVORITE HOURLY JOB: SALESMAN AT A MEN'S CLOTHING STORE

Formerly, Greg served as SVP and Chief People Officer of Snagajob (to fellow Snaggers he was the Chief of Snagger Services) where he worked closely with Shawn in building a nationally renowned workplace culture that drove phenomenal financial results and led to the company being named the Best Small Company to Work for In America in 2011 by Fortune Magazine. Under Shawn and Greg’s leadership, Snagajob was named to the nation’s Best Small and Medium Company’s List for six consecutive years. Snagajob was also named to the list of America’s Winning Workplaces by Inc. Magazine, and on a regional level, as the Greater Richmond Area Employer of Choice for three consecutive years, and as the first recipient of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce's HYPE Award, which honors the company voted as the best workplace for young professionals.
Prior to joining Snagajob in 2006, Greg was the President of PeoplePoint, a human capital consulting firm he formed in 2000. Greg’s practice was largely focused on helping small high growth technology companies build exceptional cultures with strategically aligned HR practices.

Earlier in his career, Greg served as the Chief HR Officer for Cadmus Communications and Dyncorp/CSC, and held VP HR positions with Black and Decker and Lockheed Martin.
While most of his career has been in human resources, Greg also served as a public school administrator and teacher early in his career. He holds an MS with honors from Temple University, and a BS with honors from Elizabethtown College. He also completed the Transformational Leadership and Executive Coaching Certification Program at Georgetown University.

Greg was a finalist for Richmond SHRM’s HR Strategist of the Year award and is an active volunteer with numerous community service organizations having served as President of Richmond SHRM, as board member of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and on the board of Homeward.

goHappy fuels his passion for helping to make a difference in the lives of hourly employees. Everyone, regardless of the job they hold, is deserving of a positive experience at work. Greg loves that goHappy is helping to shape workplace cultures and create a win-win experience for both managers and the employees they lead.

Since Greg has been working from home, he has become a bit more domestic with a new love for cooking, and the cooking channel. Putting a meal together for himself and his wife, Marie, is more fun than work, especially while sipping a glass of wine. Greg also enjoys painting with acrylics and oils and creating what he calls decorative art, which has now filled most vacant walls around the house. Greg has 2 married children and 3 grandkids, with whom he and Marie spend as much of their free time as possible.
